ICCC’s mission to strengthen bilateral trade and investment between Canada and Indonesia aligns with several priority areas supported under the Canada–Indonesia Trade and Private Sector Assistance (TPSA) initiative. These areas reinforce the enabling environment in which ICCC members operate.
Key Areas of Alignment
Trade Facilitation
ICCC supports improved trade flows by connecting businesses with market intelligence, regulatory insights, and cross-border networks that reduce friction and accelerate commercial activity.
Investment Promotion
Through business matchmaking and stakeholder engagement, ICCC contributes to strengthening investment linkages between Canadian and Indonesian partners.
Regulatory Environment
ICCC promotes informed dialogue between private-sector actors and policymakers to encourage transparent, predictable, and competitive regulatory frameworks.
Inclusive & Sustainable Growth
ICCC supports initiatives that advance gender inclusion, responsible business conduct, and environmentally sustainable trade practices across both markets.
ICCC works to support TPSA engagement with a wide range of stakeholders, including Indonesian SMEs in target industries, Indonesian government departments and ministries (i.e., Bappenas, Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, and other departments related to the targeted industries), business associations, universities, and the private sector.
TPSA is partners with the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia. The Ministry of Trade is responsible for developing and implementing both domestic and international trade policy.
The Conference Board of Canada is the foremost independent, evidence-based, not-for-profit applied research organization in Canada. It is dedicated to building a better future for Canadians by making our economy and society more dynamic and competitive.
ICCC engages constructively with this broader institutional landscape to ensure that private-sector perspectives remain central to bilateral trade development.
